Porsche Starts Initial LMDh Evalutation
Porsche has officially begun its initial evaluation of concept for the LMDh category and the latest ACO-IMSA technical regulations release. This past week details emerged from the new joint venture ACO-IMSA global platform for the prototype class in the future. The details that were broadcast included minimum weight and power output.
Head of Porsche Motorsport Fritz Enzinger has been tasked with the responsibility by Porsche AG board member Michael Steiner to do a formal evaluation of the platform for the German brand.
Enzinger says, that the ACO and IMSA have fulfilled Porsche’s expectations that would all the racing outfit to compete for overall victories in both endurance series with one vehicle.
The target date for the LMPh category debut will be the 2022 Rolex 24 at Daytona and in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the same year.
