Drivetribe.com recently took a trip to one of the most notorious Formula 1 racing team facilities to visit the Williams F1 Heritage Collection. The Williams heritage department is run by none other than Sir Frank Williams soon Jonathan Williams and Dickie Stanford. Stanford has been involved with the Williams Formula 1 racing effort for 32 years! He was a mechanic and a even a team manager at one point.
The heritage department is filled with stacks of used and new racing rotors and brake calipers line the shelves of the facility alone with pallets filled with used F1 gearboxes and engines. Slick tires are stacked to the roof, but with those older tires no longer being produced a ‘NEW’ Avon tire is made with historic specs for the historic cars to be period correct.
