Aston Martin AM-RB 001 Will Pack A V12 Engine?
The concept collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing is turning out to be one for the ages. The Aston Martin AM-RB 001 has capabilities of being one of the fastest and insane hypercars to date. With promises of a 1:1 power to weight ratio and an excess of 1,000 horsepower, we are starting to realize that the AM-RB 001 is going to be a series machine.
What else would you expect from Adrian Newey with and his experience from winning 150 Formula 1 races? Much of the details about the car have been kept very secret over the last couple of months other than a few photo ops and appearances the car has made. What we do know is that Aston Martin’s goals were to work with a few technical partners to take the fight to McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini.
Red Bull Advanced Technologies is the major component for services of production for the AM-RB 001 and legendary Cosworth is said to build the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine. The gearbox will be produced and designed by Ricardo and will be paddle-shifted with seven gears.
Multimatic will be handling the duties of producing the carbon fiber MonoCell. Multimatic handled the production of the Vulcan carbon components.
