The two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso completed his first test session with the Toyota LMP1 program after the 6 Hours of Bahrain. The test session was the concluding laps of the 2017 World Endurance Championship where we saw Toyota beat Porsche in Porsche’s last outing with their 919 Hybrid program. The Spainard posted his best time in the Toyota LMP1 Hybrid with a 1:43:013. This is the first step in Alonso’s path to racing in the 2018 Le Mans 24 hour race.

The 2018 racing schedule for Alonso will be action packed with his interest still there in the Indy 500, Fernando also will be competing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona at the end of January and also, he is still the number 1 driver at McLaren for the 2018 Formula 1 schedule!
