In the world of motorsports and any sports at the moment, we as writers are struggling to find new topics and current events to write about because of obvious reasons. At the moment we find lots of behind the scenes chatter happening and a lot of “whatifs.” Even as this article is written Porsche could change their mind tomorrow due to economic struggles. With that said here it is:

In the following months Porsche will evaluate if it will undertake a possible LMDh program for the World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The idea that Porsche will once again join in on the sportscar prototype class makes a lot of fans very excited to see the German brand back in action after its dominance in the WEC during 2014-2018.

With current economic conditions and a majority of racing series on hold, Porsche could also hold off on this idea but prior to the Covid-19 crisis Porsche has been eyeing a return. Once the dust settles from the crisis at hand we are sure all manufacturers will be reevaluating their budgets and we will all see if racing in the forecast for some.
