Top NFL Quarterbacks as Women
Published
5 years agoon
One social media user decided to take their followers into an alternate universe where all of the top NFL quarterbacks were women. This gender swap was created by Twitter user @notkdk3 as they reimagined the world of pro football.
The current roster of quarterbacks all got to enjoy seeing what they would have looked like if they were born female as the thread even recreated retired stars. You might be used to seeing these NFL quarterbacks with their warpaint and game faces, but this is what they all look like with some gender-swapping trickery.
Patrick Mahomes
Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes might have felt like a cheat code for fans watching the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. The versatile quarterback can throw with either hand and seems to read the game like he’s played it once already. Mahomes is fast becoming one of the NFL’s biggest stars and seems on course to become a legend despite only being 24 years old. This is what an artist imagined Mahomes could look like if he was born a woman, and barring the mustache, we’re sure female Pat would have just as many fans.
Jared Goff
Jared Goff was able to put himself on the map after guiding the Rams all the way to the Super Bowl in the 2018 season. While last season was disappointing by comparison, Goff had a pretty good season and even led the league in pass attempts. Goff was fortunate enough to make a Super Bowl appearance early in his career, and we’re sure he’ll be extra determined to make it back to that stage. This seamless transformation gives fans a look at what Goff could look like if he were a woman.
Ryan Tannehill
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill could well have been a soccer mom in a different life. The quarterback is beginning to establish himself as a force in the NFL, earning the title of ‘Comeback Player of the Year’ in 2019 with the Titans. Before moving to Tennessee, Tannehill had spent several years as the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. When he moved to the Titans, Tannehill made his first appearance in the NFL postseason, leading his franchise to the AFC championship game.
Matthew Stafford
Matthew Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play for the Detroit Lions, and the star has a long list of NFL records during his time with the franchise. Stafford became a starter for the Lions as a rookie, and he has remained the main man ever since. He might have only taken the Lions to the postseason three times in 11 seasons, but that’s a pretty big accomplishment in itself. This is what Stafford could have looked like if he were a woman, and it seems as though he’d fit right into a college sorority.
Dak Prescott
To be a successful quarterback you have to be inspirational, and it looks as though Dak Prescott was born to be a leader. As a woman it looks like he could have been a pop star or a model, and we know he would have been successful at that too. Prescott had a lot of pressure on his shoulders when he became the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, but he has handled it all with style. The quarterback’s rookie year was a standout season, and he will hope he can bring the success of 2016 back to the Cowboys soon.
Joe Burrow
Joe Burrow has yet to play a game for the Cincinnati Bengals, but there are huge expectations on his young shoulders. After a Heisman Trophy-winning college season, Burrow was the number one draft pick in 2020, and he will have to hit the ground running. The pressure is intense in the NFL, and the Bengals will hope they have their man to lead them to their first Super Bowl victory in the near future. As a woman, it seems as though Burrow might have gotten into trouble with the law as this picture has a mugshot feel to it.
Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson has taken us back to the ‘90s as he looks like a missing member of Destiny’s Child as a woman. As an NFL quarterback Lamar Jackson has begun to establish himself as a dominant force on the gridiron. He was voted the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player in a season where he broke the rushing yards for a quarterback in one season with 1,206 yards. Jackson has led the Ravens to the playoffs twice, and next season he will look to make it third time lucky by making it to the Super Bowl.
Russell Wilson
Looking at this picture, it seems as though Russell Wilson was simply born to be in the spotlight, no matter which gender he was born as. The quarterback has led the Seattle Seahawks since 2012, and he has been nothing but a success since he signed the contract. Wilson became the highest-paid player in the NFL when he signed a contract extension with the Seahawks in 2019, earning him $140 million for four more seasons. Although considered short for a quarterback, that hasn’t stopped Wilson’s passing ability making him a standout star in the NFL.
Jimmy Garoppolo
It looks as though no matter what gender Jimmy Garoppolo was born, he was going to be a heartbreaker. The San Francisco quarterback has plenty of fans for his looks alone, but his talent is also a huge draw. He won two Super Bowl rings in a Tom Brady-led Patriots team, and in his first season as a starter with the 49ers, Garoppolo reached the Super Bowl. The future looks bright for Garoppolo and the 49ers who will be looking to go one step further and lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy soon.
Cam Newton
Although he is looking for a new franchise after leaving the Carolina Panthers in 2019, Cam Newton remains a big name in the NFL. The 2015 MVP is a dangerous weapon under the right playing conditions, and plenty of franchises would benefit from his presence among their roster. As a woman, it seems that Cam Newton bears a striking resemblance to daytime TV host Wendy Williams. A career in daytime TV beckons for Newton once he retires from playing seems unlikely, but he wouldn’t be the first.
Baker Mayfield
Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Baker Mayfield has a lot of pressure on his shoulders as the new hope of the Cleveland Browns. While the franchise has continued to struggle for success, Mayfield immediately got the fans behind him when he led the Browns to their first victory in 19 games. That was his first appearance for the Browns, and now fans in Cleveland are looking at football games with some optimism. As a woman, it seems as though Mayfield was destined to be a star, and he looks like he’s at a press conference for his latest album release here.
Carson Wentz
Carson Wentz was a huge part of the Philadelphia Eagles roster that won the Super Bowl in the 2017 season. Even though he was injured for the postseason, Wentz was the starting QB for the regular season and helped his team stay out in front of the rest. Injuries have been a problem for Wentz in the past, but he might have put them all behind him after a successful 2019 season. As a woman, it seems as though Wentz wouldn’t have any trouble asking for the manager to complain about the service at a restaurant.
Tua Tagovailoa
Many experts thought that Tua Tagovailoa might actually be the number one draft pick in 2020. Still, it was just impossible for the Bengals to overlook Joe Burrow. A serious hip injury in 2019 is thought to be the reason Tagovailoa wasn’t picked higher. That meant the Dolphins were the franchise to take a chance on Tua Tagovailoa, and big things are expected of the Hawaiian. Even though Tagovailoa is right-handed, he plays football with his left, and that unorthodox approach could confuse opposition defenses when the QB plays in the NFL.
Tom Brady
Even as a woman it seems as though Tom Brady just wouldn’t age. With the most Super Bowl wins in NFL history, Brady’s football career keeps on going well into his 40s. The quarterback became an icon while playing for the New England Patriots, and in this upcoming season, we will finally see him play for another franchise. Brady has left New England to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hoping to prove that he can do it with a different team.
Drew Brees
Drew Brees landed himself in hot water regarding his comments on social issues in the United States recently, but maybe this image can be a distraction for the Saints star. Although many of his colleagues condemned the words he spoke in 2020, there is no denying Brees’ skill as a quarterback. He is continuing to play pro football beyond his 41st birthday, which has to be commended. Judging by this picture, Brees would be just as tough if he had been born a woman.
Ben Roethlisberger
Whenever Ben Roethlisberger decides to retire, he may well get a parade through the streets of Pittsburgh. The quarterback has been with the franchise since 2004, and he has brought a lot of success to the Steelers. Known for his efficient passing, Roethlisberger likes to play his own style of ‘backyard football’ which has regularly brought him to the playoffs. The quarterback is one of the largest in his position, and people still wouldn’t want to mess with him as a woman.
Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is widely considered one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. Unfortunately for him, his solitary Super Bowl ring excludes him from the elite discussions, despite his numbers being so impressive. Rodgers has been pretty committed to the beard in recent years, so for all we know, this is just a picture of the Green Bay quarterback without any facial hair. The two-time MVP still has a few good years left in him, and fans of Green Bay will be hoping Rodgers can find his mojo to collect another Super Bowl.
Daniel Jones
A fresh batch of starting quarterbacks have been drafted to the NFL in recent years, and it’s going to be interesting to see how they all develop. One young player who rose to starting quarterback in 2019 was Daniel Jones, or should we say Danielle Jones? The quarterback started 12 games for the New York Giants last season and will be looking to build upon what wasn’t the best of starts in the NFL. Jones led the league in fumbles last season, and he will hope for some better fortune next season.
Sam Darnold
It looks as though the future of the New York Jets franchise is in good hands if Sam Darnold continues to develop the way he has been. After just two years of college football, Darnold entered the NFL Draft in 2018, when he was the third overall pick for the Jets. Since then, the franchise has put a lot of faith in Darnold by instantly promoting him to starting quarterback. Young quarterbacks have to fight to prove their worth, and Darnold looks like he was going to be tough whether he was a woman or a man.
Mitch Trubisky
Mitch Trubisky has been pretty important in turning around the fortunes of the Chicago Bears in recent seasons. The young quarterback was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2018, but he has a competition on his hands for the starting spot in 2020. The Bears signed Nick Foles in the 2020 offseason and announced that it was up to the players to prove who was going to be their starter for the next NFL season. As a woman, it looks as though Trubisky wouldn’t look out of place on the ice hockey rink in the NWHL.
Nick Foles
Nick Foles hasn’t been able to nail down a starting role for the variety of NFL franchises he has played for. He might be hoping things change in 2020, and he can outperform Mitch Trubisky at the Bears’ tryouts for the starting spot. Foles does have plenty of talent, and he stepped up in the absence of Carson Wentz to win the Super Bowl for the Eagles, earning the Super Bowl LII MVP title. Nick Foles would be pretty intimidating as a woman and may well have played on the gridiron regardless of his gender.
Jameis Winston
Jameis Winston appears to be trying something new for the 2020 season after leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the New Orleans Saints. Winston’s rookie year was one of the most impressive in recent memory, and he will hope to push the Saints into the Super Bowl picture as soon as possible. As a woman, it looks as though Winston would have just as much confidence in himself, and we could see Winston’s alter ego enjoying a political career.
Kyler Murray
Kyler Murray came into the NFL in 2019 as a rookie and started every regular season game. While the Cardinals look to the future, one player they can rely on is the multi-talented Murray. In 2018 Murray was selected in the first round of the MLB Draft, and a year later became the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft. That made Murray the first-ever player to be drafted in the first round of both sports. It looks as though Murray would take no prisoners as a woman and would be just as much of a star athlete.
Jarrett Stidham
The fate of the Patriots post-Tom Brady is in the hands of Jarret Stidham. Stidham was a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and now finds himself being backed by Bill Belichick to lead the franchise in the future. The young quarterback was given a taste of starting for a few games last season for the Patriots, and he’s going to be calling the shots on game day in the future. Stidham looks like he might have chosen a different career if he were a woman, and it’s not hard to imagine him strutting his stuff on the catwalk.
Teddy Bridgewater
Teddy Bridgewater looks like he was born to play football no matter what gender he was born. The new Carolina Panthers quarterback is looking for redemption after his football career has slowed down. Bridgewater joined the Minnesota Vikings in 2014 as a first-round draft pick and had two great seasons before tearing his ACL. After then it has been a struggle for Bridgewater to establish himself as a starter with the Saints after leaving Minnesota in 2018. In March 2020, Bridgewater signed a three-year contract with the Panthers worth $63 million.
Josh Allen
In this photograph it looks as though Josh Allen might be launching a political campaign. In reality, Allen is looking to continue the early success he has enjoyed with the Buffalo Bills. Sure he hasn’t led the franchise to the Super Bowl just yet, but at 24, there is plenty of time left on the clock for him. He already has an NFL record to his name after becoming the first QB to rush for at least 95 yards in three consecutive games.
Gardner Minshew
Some players rise to the top when the odds are stacked against them. Gardner Minshew was drafted to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019 in the sixth round of the draft but clearly did enough to impress the coaches at the Florida franchise. Minshew got his break in the Jaguars roster when starting QB Nick Foles, and he stayed in the team for pretty much the rest of the season. Foles came back from injury for one game before getting benched for Minshew after a bad performance, and Minshew didn’t drop the ball for the rest of the year.
Dwayne Haskins
When Dwayne Haskins was drafted to the Washington Redskins in 2019, he might not have expected to feature so heavily in his first season. Haskins was selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Redskins, but with the future in mind. When starting QB Case Keenum was benched in game four, Haskins stepped up and proved he belonged in the NFL. Although he is only 23 years old, judging by this picture, it seems he would look a lot older if he were born a woman.
Marcus Mariota
If football doesn’t work out for Marcus Mariota, perhaps he should consider a career as a Hollywood star. It looks as though he would already be one if he were born a woman. After spending his pro football career with the Tennessee Titans, Mariota will be enjoying a change of scenery for the 2020 NFL season. He has joined the Raiders, who will be playing their first season in Las Vegas after leaving Oakland. It’s a new beginning for both the franchise and Mariota, which could be a match made in heaven.
Deshaun Watson
It’s clear that Deshaun Watson was born to wear a football uniform, whether he is a man or a woman. The Houston Texans star has risen to the role of starting quarterback for his franchise, and he’s going to be sticking around for a while. Watson has established himself as a superstar in the past two seasons, earning two Pro Bowl appearances in consecutive seasons. It seems obvious that Watson is growing into the player the Texans hoped he would be when they picked him in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Kirk Cousins
It seems that Kirk Cousins would make an ideal cheerleader if he wasn’t the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. Cousins began his NFL career in 2012 when he was a fourth-round pick for the Washington Redskins in the draft. Five years later and Cousins had established himself as a starter, and now is the main man for the Vikings. Cousins was integral to leading the Vikings to the playoffs in 2019, pulling off a surprise victory over the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card Playoff.
Derek Carr
Derek Carr, as a woman, is bringing some goth energy to the NFL. The Raiders starting quarterback will battle it out with Marcus Mariota for the number one spot, but it’s a battle Carr is likely to win. Carr has been the starting QB for the Raiders since 2014, and he’s expected to be the leading man when the franchise relocates to Las Vegas. There is a whole new crowd for Carr to play for, and he will be hoping to start the 2020 NFL season with a bang to make the move a little easier for everyone.
Matt Ryan
While some of these NFL quarterbacks haven’t looked all that natural when their genders were swapped, it seems as though Matt Ryan’s transformation is believable. The long-serving Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been showing off his skills in the NFL since 2008, even earning the MVP title in 2016. Ryan is a consistent regular-season player, but he has yet to lead the Atlanta Falcons to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Last season Ryan combined all of his natural talent and his experience to lead the league in pass completions with 408.
Drew Lock
It looks like Drew Lock can wow his fans both as an NFL quarterback and when his gender has been flipped via Twitter. There is one thing fans of Lock can say for sure, his future with the Broncos is looking bright. Despite missing the beginning of the 2019 season through injury, the Broncos deployed Lock in the second half with an upturn in results. Lock came in for the final five games of the 2019 NFL season and won four. With that kind of record over the course of a regular season, the Broncos could be in playoff contention.
Philip Rivers
As an NFL quarterback Philip Rivers has been around the block a few times. The 38-year-old has been in pro football since 2004 when he was a first-round pick for the San Diego Chargers. Rivers survived the change of location for the franchise as the Chargers took up their new home in Los Angeles. Although he has never won the Super Bowl, Rivers has been selected for the Pro Bowl eight times and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2013.
Jay Cutler
In this picture it looks as though the female version of Jay Cutler is just as fed up with the criticism sent the quarterback’s way. When Cutler was drafted to the Denver Broncos in 2006, it looked like it would be a match made in heaven. Instead, Cutler became frustrated when a new coach came in in 2008, and he was traded to the Bears. Cutler struggled to turn the Bears into a winning franchise during his tenure and didn’t get that Super Bowl ring he would have wanted before retiring in 2017.
Andrew Luck
Unfortunately for Andrew Luck, it is a case of what might have been. The former Colts quarterback was an impressive player when he made it onto the field, but injuries restricted how often fans got to see him. Luck had one of his best seasons in 2018 but chose to retire before the 2019 NFL season due to the injuries he had amassed during his time as a pro football player. He was named the 2018 Comeback Player of the Year but felt he had lost the joy of playing through all of the injuries he sustained.
Taysom Hill
Having a utility player on the roster can be invaluable for coaches who look to plug the gaps left by injured players. Taysom Hill has earned his reputation as a versatile football player with the New Orleans Saints, and has played at quarterback on several occasions. Hill is considered to be one of the NFL’s most useful players, and he has earned the nickname of ‘Human Swiss Army Knife’ by the media. It seems that Hill’s look is also pretty versatile because he looks great as either a man or a woman.
Tony Romo
While we’re sure Tony Romo is some sort of mystic fortune teller when calling the plays as a commentator, we don’t think he saw this transformation coming. The former NFL quarterback was a leading star for the Dallas Cowboys throughout his playing career. Although there were some ups and downs along the way, Romo will be remembered fondly by Cowboys fans, even if he didn’t deliver a Super Bowl crown. He was selected for the Pro Bowl four times and now is best-known for calling games as a color analyst for CBS Sports.
Justin Herbert
After a standout college season, there was a lot of buzz about Justin Herbert in the 2020 Draft. He was picked in the first round by the Chargers as the overall number six pick, and his looks have drawn plenty of attention. Herbert’s long flowing locks mean there isn’t a huge difference when he’s transformed into a woman, and those looks might be breaking hearts in the NFL next season. The young quarterback is expected to become a star, and the rookie is going to get even more attention with the Chargers taking part in HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ in 2020.
