The CW has announced that the ninth season of The Flash, set to debut in 2023, will be the show’s final season. The season will consist of 13 episodes, making it the shortest season of the show’s run. Speculation that the ninth season would be the show’s last began last January when it was reported that star Grant Gustin had signed a one-year deal that would cap his involvement in the season at 15 episodes.
