Despite overcoming supply chain challenges brought on by the coronavirus epidemic, Tesla’s Q3 sales of its cars and SUVs nevertheless fell far short of forecasts.
In comparison to the 254,695 deliveries it made from April through June, the electric vehicle and solar panel manufacturer reported Sunday that it sold 343,830 cars and SUVs in the third quarter.
The delivery figures fell short of Wall Street expectations.
FactSet, a statistics firm, surveyed analysts who had predicted sales of 371,000 automobiles.
Tesla wants to get automobiles from its plants to its customers more efficiently, as it is getting harder to secure transportation capacity at a reasonable price, the company claimed.
