Here’s Why The 24h Of Nurburgring Is So Scary
Another 24-hour race at the world famous Nordschleife has come and gone but by no means was it an easy race for any of the entries nor was it rainbows and sunshine out on track. The 24-hour victory honors went to the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Manthey Racing. Following behind the Porsche filling the other two spots on the podium were two Mercedes_AMG GT3s.
Below is a video of showing just how scary this race can be when you have beautiful weather but this race was anything but perfect. Audi Sport Team WRT’s hopes were crushed just 5 hours into the 24-hour event when Dries Vanthoor did not have many options on track in the dark and wet conditions. The Audi R8 of Vanthoor had to split a slower GT4 Porsche. The minor contact in the dark punctured the Audi’s tire losing control just down the track at the end bend sending the Audi out of control.
