2016 Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car
Mercedes-AMG have confirmed this week that the AMG GT Sports Car will be transformed into a GT3 racer to compete in 2016. The SLS AMG GT3 was a huge success for the racing outfit and early next month Mercedes-AMG will debut the latest GT3 race car at Geneva along with a huge array of other top manufacturers showing off their latest and greatest products.
The GT3 program is offered to customer teams all around the world to compete in the GT3 class. The Gt3 race car is sold through Mercedes-AMG Customer Sports division.
If you are unfamiliar with the GT3-spec competition, it is a very extraordinary class that pits all of the top manufacturers on the race track together with heavily modified sports cars. Competition in the field ranges from Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Audi R8 LMS ultra, Bentley Continental GT3, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and Dodge Viper GT3-R.
